FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sanmor...well lets say 3 and 1/2 since medic mom is possibly going to make it....YEAH!!!! I hope it works out!  Sanmor I hope that you "treat" your self and come...it is always fun to meet Navy moms!!

oh ditto what medic mom said, it is so difficult at first, and even worse when you get your sailor's clothes etc back in a box. I wrote lots of letters, and whined in this group lol. It is so exciting as it gets closer to graduation and all of the planning. My son just passed his 2 year anniversary last month {:oD

Zach's mom we are all here for you. It is such an exciting and scarey time when they leave for boot camp. Just remember it is just 8 weeks. It seems like eternity but it passes faster than you think. Then things get a little easier. We will all here for you any time you need us.

Angie I am gonna see what is going on. I might be able to make it. I just have to check out the schedule. Some things have been canceled that I was gonna do so it just might be possible for me to make it down to see all of you gals. I enjoyed meeting you gals last time and wanna see you gals again. Keep your fingers crossed.
