medicmom, I am so sorry about the change in date. As the other ladies said we are here for you.

medic mom-- I can see why you would be upset about your son leaving earlier than expected. The only constant is change, they say. You have raised such a fine young man who is literally going to be a life saver and that is so totally awesome! It is tough being the strong one in the family. You can be weepy and unsettled here with us any time. We will hold you up. :)

Thanx Pat. That's pretty much what I am doing. Taking it day by day. I know he will be in good hands with his marine group. And trust me you gals are great to lean on. You are all greatly appreciated.

Medic mom, We know how scary this is for you. Just know that your sisters are here for you. You can share those feelings and fears here where it is safe. No matter what you feel, you can vent and discuss it here. We WILL NOT be judgmental. So let's just make a plan to take it day by day and you will get through this, I promise.

Hey gals! Hope all is well for everyone. Just needed to vent a little. Thanx in advance for listening. Just found out my son will be deploying next month. A few months ahead of schedule. Just to catch you all up he is a green side medic. He will be deploying with the marines. I am scared and can't show him. His dad's family and dad will be freaking out. I so hate being the strong one. But being the mom I stay strong for him. I also know I can "cry "with you gals. This just seems so quick. I am trying to understand it all but my mind wont let me. Not being able to see him before he leaves is killing me.

I am gonna stop now before this gets long winded. Thanx for listening. I feel a little better.

Also, Tbears, P-hold days do not count toward bootcamp countdown days, as they are waiting for groups to form.  Usually not too many of them, though.

Tbears...they are in "p"rocessing while they wait for more recruits arrive to fill their division

Does anyone know what P-hold is?

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend with my Sailor home. We had sightings...He spent most of his time with his friends (shocker!)  :)

Was still great to have the time we did while he was around. He has matured 100X over the last 3 months since he left for BC and now A School @ Great Lakes. I will secretly take advantage of him being still in Illinois while I can. :)

Looking forward to one day meeting some of the great Moms who post here.

Back home from visiting the sailor on Virginia.  It was a great trip.  We fed lots of sailors and their families.  Even got to VA Beach once, and to the fantastic Norfolk Botanical Garden.

Chat with you later.  Have TB S (tired butt syndrome) from the straight drive back home last night.

(((hugs))))   Carol
