After 7 weeks of waiting, my son finally classed up for A school in Pensacola today. Hooray! Time to get this ship underway.

Enjoy the sunshine today ladies. Time to dry things out and get the grass cut!

LOL Laura!  You might run a ground here in Central IL...we just get a spattering....we are really dry!

I am building my Ark now.  I will swing by and pick you up.

I think my transplanted hostas have had enough rain for now.  The tomatoes and Italian herbs are getting way too wet, too.  Southern Illinois is ready for some sunshine!

I just wondered if they might know each other.  Mine was a year as a weapons instructor, then in Freedom Hall yelling "run, Forrest, run!"  He didn't really yell that, but he did a lot of encouraging.

Shoot, I forgot to add, he never mentioned the geese!

Gwen, is your son on the RTC side or the base?  My son just left RTC as an instructor the beginning of March to go back to Little Creek.  Right now, he's probably part way to Rota on his way to A.  He's on a military flight with a unit as their GM.

Heck Kimmie it sounds like we should let those geese go overseas and fight. Maybe they can help the guys and gals fighting out. Loved the story. Made my day. Sounds like something my son would do.

Kimme...I am a visual person so I can just see  those 2 running from the geese....maby the geese need to stand watch!

Kimme--those Canadian Geese are downright NASTY and MEAN.  He's lucky.

Pentwater--If you get to visit King's Bay, we have a list of favorite places to go while there.  Our son's sub is actually out of there, but now in dry dock in Virginia.
