I got a call from my son, who is stationed at Great lakes, and we can all rest easy! While he and his 2 buddies were on watch Monday afternoon they were attacked. I am happy to report that the 4 Canadian Geese have been  dealt with and hopefully will cause no further chaos. Yep, my big strong sailor got picked on by 4 geese while he was on watch.  He said he felt like a little girl while he was running away from the geese. We told him he would see and experience new things....

My Sailor got his orders yesterday... He will be on the USS Flordia stationed at Kings Bay, Georgia. We face timed with him for over an hour last night it was AWESOME... He may get to come home for a little while in June... My fingers and toes willl be crossed until then..

I had a different kind of meet and greet today.  I'm in Norfolk/Virginia Beach, so I had lunch with two former students (one a sailor and married to a former Marine/student) and the wife and sons of another former student/sailor who is deployed along with my sailor, his girls, and girlfriend.  We had a wonderful time!

Laura ...can't say for sure that one date is better than another at this point... too many irons in the fire for May that can change day to day... between BD's, Grads and trying head to DC to see one of my sailors...
