Cool!  We have a dolphin!  Bravo Zulu :)

Sorry I haven't been on line more lately.  Crazy as we count down the school lunches (less that 40 now.)  Tie-dying pillowcases for Molly's Adopt a Sailor (too much fun.)  and awaiting nerve conduction test to see why my left arm is not behaving properly (boo hoo, but oh well.)

Hope all are well.

Belay that last date!

Figures the moment I pick a date, I have to change it!  Darn & double darn!  I just flew home today from sailor son's "C' school graduation & got caught up on the mail. Of course I have a date conflict!

Will Sunday, April 22nd work for everyone?

Comment by Laura on March 23, 2012 at 11:31pm

OK moms...Lets try to nail down a date, well as much as we can anyways!

Lets plan for April 21st,,,,,,Saturday, April 21st, Schaumburg, Noon (better time?)

If anyone is travelling far and would like to spend the night at my home, please let me know.  I have extra room.  (and a large yellow labrador retriever to go along with hubby and teenage son).

Not sure of the place yet. Olive Garden is always a fall back but I will look for an alternate venue as well.

Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Woohoo! My son graduated from FTMB training today. He will be home on Saturday for 8 whole days. I am one happy and proud mom right now. Just had to share.

FYI my son was able to leave for his g-pop. One reason to use red cross. And I will echo they also make sure the proper people are around when sharing ees
I agree moms know what their child can handle and when
Once again I wish recruiters would encourage families to discuss these matters ahead of time because once they enter B T " they are adults and stop being our child" so they handle things different

Thank you all so much for your advice and support. I have talked to family, friends and some people that surprised me when they offered support. I guess you really do find out who your friends are in times of trouble, don't you? I think we are going to keep any news away from my son. If something does happen we are still going to keep it away from him since he is at a very critical part of his training for his career. He needs to keep his focus and doesn't need even a split second of worrying about his Grandpa. My dad is so proud of him for joining that he would never want to be the cause of his "Pookie" losing his concentration. Now I just have to send a message on Facebook so that no one talks about it where the kid can see it. Once again, thank you all for your help and support.  I just hope my choice doesn't blow up in my face and I end up with one pissed off Sailor...
