LeysaNavymom - You will have to send me a private message with your cell #.  Funny thing is, St. Francis is my parish.  My sailor graduated from St. Francis!  We live within walking distance from the church.

Definately meet for coffee!  Let me know if the girls are in AM/PM or full day kindergarden.  I have a very flexible work schedule.

Good morning IL navy family!  Hooray for sailor visits! My son is finishing boot camp (PIR 3/16) and then on to Pensacola.  We hope to visit here in May or June. I can't wait to see him again at PIR, even if only for a few hours. Hoping to meet some of you in person some day, but until then thanks for all your support on this wild ride.

Laura, I am anxious also.  Our son flew back yesterday.  He was home for about 10 days.  It is very hard to let them go.  It will be along 7 months.

LeysaNavymom - As it gets closer to the Gary Sinese concert date I am sure that car pool groups will form.  I live in your neck of the woods, Lake Zurich.

As my son's deployment on the USS Enterprise gets closer I am getting anxious.  Not because he is going, but because he thinks he could make the 11 hours drive to visit his fiance, then another 6 hour drive to visit us before he leaves.  Oh yeah, did I mention that he is planning on doing all the driving alone?!

All I could think of is him encountering snow storms, car breakdowns, and homicidal mad slashers on his drive home alone.  I will pay for his flight but the boy is stubborn.  I hope he chooses to fly before I have a heart attack!

I bought the dvd movie Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good at Wal-mart a couple months ago.  It's excellent!  It's an entertainment documentary.  Worth getting!

Leysa, Gary Sinise is from the Chicago area. He was Lt. Dan in the movie "Forrest Gump" and is in CSI New York. He does A LOT of work for the military. I'll bet you would recognize him if you saw a picture. "Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band" put on a FABULOUS concert!
