@ Earl's Mom.

I got the box Tuesday and the letter Friday.  If the pattern holds you should get yours any day now.  Remember most of the letter is not much of a letter.  Our son was able to scribble 28 words, one being Hey and the other being his name.  Still with my Mom eyes and ESP working at peak capacity I was able to glean quite a lot of information,  Boot camp is challenging, but not more so than he expected.  (Not his exact words but very close.)  can't wat to see what he'll say with time and the whole English language available to him.

Hi Pentwater- fancy meeting you on here! Lol. I'm in this group because I am from Peoria, Illinois and my family still lives there. I go back to visit a couple times a year.

Congrats Earl's Mom on receiving your box. I am happily the one sending boxes now. I hope your BC expirence goes as quickly as ours did. The first few weeks is the hardest. Hang in there. When you see the doors open and see all the sailors march in at PIR it makes it all worth it.

Hey central Illinois moms I hope you can get together. Depending on the date I may not be able to go. I am having surgery next tuesday and will probably be out of commission until after christmas. Gotta get this Gall Bladder removed so I can get on with life.

Hey Springfielders.  Tell me what it would be like to meet for lunch at White Oaks Mall, and then if anyone wanted to shop after lunch, they could.  See there is open mall as well as sit down restaurants on their website.  Just looking for ways to get this meet and greet going soon.
