I would spoon love to be able to go on Saturday but am unable to attend. I ended up having to work. I would love to meet all of you. Have fun though. Maybe next time. By then my son will be out of basic. His PIR is next Friday. Can't wait for that.

Carol glad you got good report so far from your sailor....Hope more of you all hear good reports.

Our sailor #2 called from DC area and they survived with no major damage...He worked in Bethesda at the Naval Medical center the night Irene hit...hi car was in a parkin g garage on the 2nd floor...all went well and made it back to his apt with no real issues...flash flooding was the problem there.

Carol, Great news about your son riding out the storm. It looks like flooding is going to remain a problem for a couple of days. I bet his call yesterday was a relief for both you and hubby...

Sailor boy just called from Portsmouth, VA.  Says his dry-docked sub is doing fine. The Enterprise was pulled in close to his sub to help protect both.  He expects to leave duty by Monday late morning, at which time he will check out his rental house.
