Leec--what part of the state are you in again?  We've got meet and greets all sorts of places that just pop up.  I also meet with moms in southwestern Illinois on a one-to-one basis anytime it's possible--which is quite often!  There's just something special about being able to HUG another military mom that can't be explained.  It's just heart warming.

I agree jessica u r doing a great job. And u made the most important statement remembering that this too shall pass and there is a wonderful gift waiting at the end of it. I remember thinking when my son left it was the worst time. Then after A school when he left the mainland and I couldn't get in car and drive to see him , ws the worst time. And then his first sub deployment was the worst. And now he. Choose IA and off To A-Stan. My point is. Honey don't ever forget this to shall pass and the rainbow is worth the storm. Love u all

Haha thank you(: It has been a really rough two months. My sailor missed my high school graduation, we couldn't celebrate my birthday, we couldn't celebrate his birthday, my grandma was diagnosed with three forms of terminal cancer, my dog almost died... It has been tough, I honestly think though that knowing I got to see him at the end is what got me through all of it. I'm so excited, I can't even explain it!! I just finished the sign for his Div's brother div for meet n greet, now just some homework and I'm done and heading out tomorrow afternoon!!!  It is SO exciting(: He says he misses me as much as I miss him.... I'm not quite sure if that is possible hahah! I do wish they would get to call home again before graduation though, but I'm not thinking that will happen.

Lauren,  and you are soooo right as well.  No-one can be grown up all the time (or at least I sure can't and I hope I'm not alone!).  And this is the right place to have our little melt downs, where we get understanding and support and don't burden our sailors or SRs.  I was just so impressed with Jessica I had to say something!  I hope I do as well supporting my SR as she has done.
