Awesome that was what I was hoping to hear! Maybe I will get that lucky too.

Jessica,

They took my sons group to the airport around 2:00 am and he didn't leave for Charleston until 2:00 pm.

Well that's no fun. so much waiting around lately! I have a feeling that won't be changing anytime soon though. What time did your son end up leaving the airport after graduation?

They have a long weekend for July 4th so maybe they will for Labor Day too.

Jessica,

He's in the phase called" indoctrination" where they are waiting for A school to start.  I didn't think they could leave base for 30 days after arriving from BC but after a few days they told them they could leave but have to stay within 75 miles of the base and have to return by 12:15 am.

oh wow, I didn't know it takes that long. How long do they usually have to wait? Also, are they still considered to be in Phase 1 while waiting? Seems like I'm going to have to wait longer to visit him than planned :\

Hi Jessica,

I'm actually from Machesney Park but I always tell people Rockford because most people have never heard of it.  I read that your BF will be heading to SC after BC.  My son has been down there for a week.  His group is waiting for school to start around the middle of June.

I'm not too far from rockford, 60-90min.

Hi Pattyann, I just saw that you are from Rockford and wanted to say Hi.  I'm pretty close to Rockford.  Is anyone else on here close to the Rockford area?  My son just graduated BC on 5-26-11.  Now he's in South Carolina waiting to start school.  :)
