Well then I hope for the worst weather ever that day(: Even though it isn't much, I am very thankful for the few hours that I do get to spend with him. I know that someday when he gets deployed I would do anything for a few hours, so I will cherish the ones I will get. I will definitely be at the airport, I intend to spend every last second that I cam with him. Just 37 more days.

Jessica, Congratulations on the letter!! My mail carrier knew that my letters usually came on Tuesdays. So he would stop by the mailbox and wave my letter!!!!!

Sorry that your sailor is "grad 'n go"! BUT you can meet him at the airport and get a special security pass so you can go to the gate and wait with him. On the day our sailor flew out, there were 2 delays due to thunderstorms so we got to spend several "bonus" hours with him!!

I found another letter in there too! But I'm really upset because he will only have about 3-4 hours of liberty before he leaves again.

Kathie...what ship is your sailor on? If your sailor is with Enterprise there should be a Family Readines Group also the ombudsman of your sialors ship can help.  When one of my sailors was with the IKE the FRG and Ombudsman had a party the night before.  They give al kinds of detailed instructions.  If your sailor is on a smaller ship still contact the Ombudsman for info of where to go and what to do.

It was in Chicagos lakeview neighborhood. No big deal, it was realllllllly hot out that day and that made it not so great. However, earned a whole flight to south Carolina! That is officially how I measure paychecks. I just found out today my worst fears were realized and he will be leaving for SC most likely in the middle of the night on Friday, apparently nuke almost always do so he will too. I will love any time I get with him though, I am really hoping for my first letter today or tomorrow, he has officially been gone three weeks.

Kathie, do you have any communication with your son?  My son always knew, but he had to talk in code to tell us.  It was like "Mom, it will be sometime in June.  You know your birthday date--three days after that."  My birthday is in March, but I knew he was saying June 10.
