OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

For those who might not be aware...Naval Station Great Lakes is still on a restricted driving lock down.  The main gate is closed.  Access is severly restricted.

Hubby parks way over on the old hospital side then either walks 20 minutes to his building or waits for the shuttle bus. Military ID holders can still walk onto the base but no driving.  Don't know how long this will continue. So, don't plan any fun trips there for a while!

Thank you Pat! If I am able, I will go to the next packing party.  Will be fun to car pool or at least have a convoy!

JessicaB, If I am able to go to the next packing party then I will pick you up.i will be cruising through your neighborhood for the downstate jaunts.
