Hi all--I'm going to be an honorary Missouri Mom on Saturday.  It's good to be friends with our neighbors.  Finally get to meet our Kelly.  Also need to get some Cardinals baseball stuff for the March Molly's Adopt a Sailor box.

They have started a "volunteer to leave" for families.  Can only take with you one piece of luggages.  I am not sure about pets .  Check out Star and Stripes. Just google it I cannot bring up the link for you - sorry.

I hope to God that Sec of State Clinton gives the NEO Alert order to get the troops out of Japan before the reactors blow.  It is going to take some time to move 48,000 military personnel & their families out of Japan.  Those reactors are scaring the hell out of me!

Wow Carol - we are going to have to start saluting you

You are rising in rank with your son reenlisitng :)

Congrats to him.

Oh update:  Found a FB message fro my sailor. The ship engines broke down and they had to limp back to port.  All are ok - just frustrated - especially my sailor.  Now he has to wait.  And "wait" is a very bad four letter word to him.  It means; you CANNOT do something now!  So I message him a note: The Cubs won their first exhibt game last Sunday in Las Vegas they beat the LA Dodgers - maybe that will make him smile.

The sailor called and said he is re-enlisting!  We are quite happy with this decision. He said it's an additional 5 year contract on top of his current stay (he's in year 3 of 6 active, 2 reserves.)
