Our son is still in GL for one more week, then we start to worry about him. LOL
So glad to see messages :)
I was beginning to fell that everyone was ill or gone on Spring Break. Wait that's next month.
Do take some Me Time or even Me Day. WE need it. Even though my son has been in teh navy now for 3 years - this roller coater ride gets rough at times.
WElcome Smilner I so like what you said - "..He has to follow rules now." You bet - that is a big eye opener. But he joined because he wanted to and he will do great. '
Just talk to us and honest we will listen.
Wish all a good eveing. I am beat tired again. I think all the emotions of my last weekend trip have hit me. So I am just relaxing this eveing
Hey Carol , Pat, Karen, Sue - you all ok? Need your voice. Miss your smiles.
Thanks T-Lynn... I am looking foward to spring...we're almost there!! YEAH!!! I wear my navy sweatshirt alot lately for the same reason you hug those stuffed animals-makes me feel closer to my boys. I am due for a me day thats for sure! After all the painting, unpacking and sewing I have been doing I am soooo ready! Glad you have heard form your sailor! It does a mom's heart good to hear from them.
WELCOME smilner....My oldest was 20 when he went in to the Navy similiar situation. I just want you to know that all your emotions and feelings that you are having are normal and we all have had them to one degree or another! I encourage you once you get his address join the group of your recruit's ship/divsion...you will make great connections with other moms and keep up what is going on with your sailors Division because when letters come one recruit might say something your sailor didn't say.....it is a great way to stay informed. Usually the night before PIR someone organizes a get together to meet..it was really fun!!. Also join boot camp moms if you haven't already lots of info there too. One more thing....CARRY YOUR PHONE WITH YOU EVERYWHERE!!! You never know when you might get a call....and I say every where I mean every where...I know of couple of moms who missed calls because they where in the shower!
Just too know we are all here for you if you have questions....now sit back and get ready for the roller coaster ride called "The Navy"! LOL
