HI

At times when I miss my sons - I hug an old stuff toy of theirs. It helps and eating chocloate  too :)  Sending you a Big Cyber Hug

Maybe when you send him his things - pack some small surprizes for him.  I have done that for my son and he gets a kick out of finding the items ( pocket games - candy - post cards , etc)  Then you are sending a part of you along.

Yes, heard from Sailor.  He is busy with ship stuff.  No details he shared - just bored.

But one thing nice - his weather is better than ours.  It is at least Spring weather there.  So he likes that - he can put the long johns away.

Angie - do hope you are liking living in IL better.  At least Spring will be here soon.  It is suppose to be in the upper 50's next week.  You can open the windows for some fresh air :)

Take care friend - give yourself a Me Day and  do something special

Hi ya everyone....well today is a mixed bag of emotions today...My youngest sailor is no longer a teenager...He had his 20th BD and at the same time his older brother is preparing for depolyment on the Reagan Carrier...today I am preparing to send his extra sea bags and navy things  he left with us that he didn't need in SD ...so bummed...but I kept busy getting those things ready and finding for things I had been looking for from the move here to IL to try and divert my thoughts of having no more teenagers or kids in my house....sometimes the empty nest is wonderful and days like today they kind of stink.
Hope you all are doing well and you have heard from your sailors!

T-Lynn,

I judge no one.  I was raised in an Italian-Catholic family & that is alll I knew most of my life.  I don't know the specifics of other religious practices/faiths but I certainly don't fear what I don't know.  How a person lives their life means more to me than where they go to worship.

When I am emotially drained and feel like I can't face the world, I appreciate the help, guidance and support of others.  I don't quiz them about their faith before I accept their help.  I am just glad that someone is there to lend a supportive hand.

Stay here.  I will be heading into an emotional turmoil when my oldest leaves for boot in a few months.  My hubby is an Army man so the service doesn't scare me.  The thought of my baby leaving is what scares me.  I am going to need all the help that I can get.
