Hello!  Just wondering if anyone is from the southern part of Illinois?  I am 1 hour north of Kentucky (but still in Illinois)!

Welcome to Sue, aka yeomom

AnchorMom, we are praying for your sailor's deployment.

Linda, are not Pat and all our Navy Girlfriends the best?!

Hi, this is yeomom, aka Sue.  My sailor graduated from GL on 2/11/11.  What an amazing ceremony!  I couldn't stop crying!  Even though we are only about a 40 minute drive from GL, we still didn't get to spend enough time with our son.  He left for Meridian, MS on the 15th.  He will be working towards becoming a yeoman.  Is anyone out there in the same boat?  Haha.

We've had cedar waxwings all year round.

EODs are always in my prayers.

We, too, are worried about spring flooding here by the Mississippi River and St Louis MO/IL flat lands.

Church series has been amazing these past 3 weeks!  We have 4 youth coming to stay with us this coming weekend, so the house will be filled with young men and their voices again!

Good Morning :)

A Spring Garden.  I would love one of those.  But the backyard is still recovering from that floods back in 2006 and 2007.  We  cannot get the ph factor right . I thought about planting a few veggies in big pots.  Has that worked out for any one?

Hi new Moms :)

An entire flock of Robins?  How lucky.  i got up today with a surprize visitor -

A Wax Wing.  It is bright and sunny - but cool to cold at times - Depends on that wind. But these SPring birds are arriving - Spring is here :)

Agree - you might need two boxes of kleenes and make sure you get the FIRST hug ! That is Navy Mom Rules !!!!

Had a purpirze late last night  - a phone call from Japan. Sailor was doing his laundry - so that means call home.  He talked with his father first. I heard so much laughing.  then it was my turn - naturally we talked about his laudnry and then he shared that he ahd been aprpoved for a new rate - EODs.  As a Mom I just gritted my teeth - smiled and told him how nice he was able to get a job he wants.  I then changed subjects to - the kite he sent me - the flute - picutures of  him dress as the Emperor - that Shark wants an umbrella now to go with her kimono and that his older brother has decided to become a part time Tuperware dealer.  Now there was silence - followed by chucking.  At least the phone call ended happy.

Still no message from my GF who had the surgery.. I have a feeling all is well, I am so so curious.  I think I should wait until Monday to call again

Well, need to run some have to errands and some fun ones too I will be 56 on Wednesday and I am celebrating all week !  Hugs friends

PS If there are mis spelled words or words mising - sorry I did not proof read  Off to errnads !
