This may seem like a silly question but is the PIR graduation usually on the weekend or does it vary what day of the week it's on?

Dan's mom-Our son was also in the Nuke program and was able to spend the entire PIR weekend with us before leaving for Goose Creek.  We live in Chicago so it was a short trip up to Great Lakes.  He loved sleeping in his own bed one more time before heading out!  Also, we too liked Charleston very much and visited with our sailor when we drove his car down (after he was allowed to have it on base) and at the grad ceremonies.

Dan's mom--your recruit should know shortly if they are grad n go. Depends upon how much room there is for their class and group.  Ours was with us all weekend of PIR.  We were the ones who had to head back as hubby was teaching a summer school class.

Dan's mom,

Thank you for the information on PIR.  It sounds like your son is a Nuke since he was headed for South Carolina to school.  Do you know if Nukes are usually graduation and go?

Dan's mom

Is your sailor still in Charleston?  We loved visiting ours while he was there.  Tough job to go there, but someone has to do it--lol

I'm always amazed at all the careers our loved ones have in the military!  Sounds like he's good with his hands and his brains!
