Carol, The pillowcase production line sounds fun, but I'm swamped right now. Grad school in full gear Mon, Tues, & Fri and working 12 hr shifts in Belleville Wed, Thurs, & Sat...Whew. Thank God boot camp was over in Dec. I think I would have had a major meltdown...It's certainly much easier now that Matt is at Goose Creek:)

Hey--did I leave you a note already?  I'm just about 20 minutes from you.  We can meet in Fairview Heights or Shiloh at the Bread Factory any time you want to talk!

Welcome to KellieC .  Glad to have you with us. What part of the state are  you in?

Thanks Dodie (where have you been??) and Pat L.  I've just been cutting fabric since making the one, so our production line can get going tomorrow as soon as I get off work.  Thanks, Troy VFW for the "sweatshop" room!

Made my 1st pillowcase.  Figured I'd better know what I was doing since I'm holding a sewing party for our February adoption.  Since then, I've been doing nothing but cut fabric for the cases and the hems.  Still not done, but need to pack up the van with the tables, cutting board, ironing board, other fabric.  I'll only have time to come home, shower and then get to the Troy VFW to sew.

Good Morning :)

Me - getting over being sick adn Mom having a relaspe.  First medication made her sicker.  She didn't want to eat and she wanted to throw up anything she did eat.  So new meds. Problem - she now is waiting to take it when she feels better.  And she has put it up - in other wrods I can't find it .  so all I can do is nag for her take it.

Sorry I cannot come -again to a sewing/packing party.  I'll break this curse - promise.  Sorry I am being selffish - I want to come and help - play - gossip and give real hugs.

Promise - I'll come back on later and not be on Soap Box complaining.

Oh 2 things:

1. Question: Last Firday morning I went out to retreive the mornig paper.  Teh huge pine tree across the street - se call the Bird Hotel - had no vacancies. And major singing was going on  - except teh song the birds were singing was a SPring Song.  Have any birds in your areas been singing Spring?

2. Sharing some pictures my son sent from his visit in China.  And update of some snacks of the Chinese. The Navy Moms on the Japan site - it helped with keeeping on their diets.

No, someone had on their post to buy Roxy at one of the linen stores.

Where is everyone?  It's been too quiet here.  Just got back from a former co-worker's party for her 60th birthday.  It was a blast to be around people--or should I say, adults and not school kids.
