Jenmack-My son was a Nuke down in Charleston and he got a vehicle sticker right away...first week he was there.  We drove down with him in his car from Chicago after BC and he got it that first week and parked it on base.

When do they find out where they go after A school? I just hope he get to start A school after BC

Jenmack--he was in S. Carolina--too bad, but someone had to go there so we could visit it again!

When mine was in A school, he did not have one, but others did. (Nuke School, Goose Creek, SC)  But, when he got to prototype school, he had to have one, as  they were required to live off base.  He did get xtra pay for that, and was able to rent a very nice house with 4 others.  Unfortunately, he had a different schedule from the other 4, so he was not able to car pool.

Thank you Carol. Where did your son go to A school? Orders said mine is staying at GL.

Jenmack-- I know ours got his during Phase II of A school, but, he couldn't get the permission sticker to park it for a while.  Can't remember why, but he parked it at a married couple's house on base until he could get it.

When do the sailors get their vehicles? Do they get it during A school or when they get to their destination?
