Yeah--Charleston in spring is gorgeous.  Look up Spoleto Festival for new ideas on places to visit--although ANYWHERE you go in Charleston is great!  See you soon.  Having a sewing party in Troy at the VFW on Main St on Jan. 11th.  It's a drop in anytime from 4-7 pm if you can scoot across the (new) bridge

Hi All, Well, my son flies back to Goose Creek today. He classes up Monday for EM A School. It is certainly easier sending him off this time since I can talk to him more often than when he was at boot camp:) I'm hoping to drive his car out to him this spring depending upon my work & grad school schedule.

Mlynnc2, I'm sorry that I don't have any specific apartment complexes for you but Waukegan is a nice area. Why don't you try asking "Chicago Moms" group? I seem to remember a couple of ladies in that group that live around Great Lakes area. Good luck!

Welcome to mlynnc2.

Also, see if your recruiter knows any of the RDC's up there and what they may suggest.

Im moving to IL to be with my husband while he is in A school for 7 months. We want to be close to the base, but I have heard mixed reviews from so many different people about areas around the base. Im looking in the Waukegan area. I am from Jacksonville so I know how to live in a semi rough area. But is there any nice areas of Waukegan or does anyone know of a great apartment complex or anyone renting out a basement apartment in the area?
