I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Whether our sailors are near or far, I wish them peace, love, and joy. And here's to another year of Navy Mom love and friendship.

Anyone know if there are still lots of stores open at the Tuscola factory outlet mall?  Thinking of a Sunday drive (why not?!)

You won't be home for Christmas,

You're half a world away;

An empty place at table side

To welcome Christmas day.

Your portrait's on the mantel

Where once your stocking hung.

You smile at us, in uniform,

So brave, so sweet... so young.

While others' homes are crowded

With family and friends,

We'll think of you with longing

And love that never ends.

We'll join hands round the table,

And say a heartfelt prayer.

We'll ask God to protect you,

And keep you in his care.

And though we're not together

As Christmas eve departs,

You will be home for Christmas.

We'll hold you in our hearts.
