Dearest Carol, You can whine to me any time!!! The good thing about female friends is that we listen to each other, probably can't fix it but WE LISTEN!! Love ya, sista!!!
Well, it's another snow day (actually nasty slick ice.) My pocketbook is groaning. At least we are safe and warm inside, but I crave a little time to myself ever since the hubby retired. I miss my couple of hours of "me time" before he came home. I can't really complain since it's coming up on 8 years since he was diagnosed with cancer that was successfully removed. But, can I whine just a little?
Take care everyone!
He is so cute...what a miracle! Merry 1st Christmas Zeke!
giggle--such a cutie
Thank you fellow Ship Moms. That is a term we use on the Japan Mom site. It means we are Moms to all the sailors and share the moment. I'll tell him - he did good and share your congrats.
You are right Pam - all those Navy terms sometimes just fly in one ear and straight through the other. Wait until you get a phone call and your son only speaks to you using all Navy Terms. Your brain actaully stops and all you can do is say: " Is that good or bad? " or " What fell of the fantail? I didn't know the ship had fans placed there." You sailor will havea ball doing this to you.
Temps are dropping friends - stay warm and safe please. I'll take you advice and see if I get some pictures up. Thank you
T-Lynn congratulations to your son, what a wonderful Christmas surprise. You must be so proud of him. And don't feel bad about the cap thing I would have thought the samething.
T-Lynn-Congrats to your sailor. What a great Christmas gift!
Yes, it is the box "image."
Forget - my son did call and shared for over 2 hours - nothing but happy events. Espeically about his ship's Christmas party. He won 2 out of the 5 raffles. One was a gift card of $25 and the other was for a 72 hours Leave Chit. He said he will use the leave chit for Spring Tour, but already used his $25 gift card for new uniforms. He was Capped at the party. It was late in the evening when he made the call here and I was not thinking right. I thought he had damaged a tooth and used the money for a cap. I was telling him how sorry I was for his tooth anad in his gentle way he said; " No Mom - I was promoted to E5 - that is being Capped" I was so happy for him, but even better - how proud of himself he is. You can hear it in his voice. His confidence you could feel.
Second - how do you place photos on now? I can see the new tool bar, but can't figure out which symbol I am to use.
