It's an Illinois shout out and welcome to Navymom1992(Div 4 821) !

And, abc, maybe you should have some of us at your wedding as your adopted aunts and mother-in-laws!

hi there everyone! i know, there is alot to plan and unfortunately, not everyone in our families are supportive of the marriage. they don't understand how anyone can be in "love" when spending so much time apart. they are very old-fashioned that way. with phone calls all the time and several emails a day, it's not very hard...but the support would've been nice. :( i was able to see my sailor once in the last 6 months and that was when he flew me out to meet him in singapore! it was one of his port stops, so that was incredible!

to dan's mom; my fiance is from goose creek! and that is where we are hoping to settle down in 2012. i loooooved charleston! yes, it's very humid compared to chicago, but there is so much to do! i hope you've had a chance to go, it's such a beautiful town.

hi there everyone! new to this group...i guess i'll start w/ a little bit about me and my situation? i was born and raised in the NW suburbs of chicago (arlington heights)...i moved to charleston, sc. for awhile where i met my wonderful sailor! he is an EM who has been in the navy for over 4 years now and is stationed in yokosuka, japan.

he is coming home this november to chicago and we are getting married while he is on leave. he will then go back to japan and i will join him after christmas. i think that pretty much sums it up! i only recently came back to the chicago area in preparation for my move to japan...so i am a 30-year-old living at home temporarily with her parents trying to save that extra money...

well anyhow, thanks for hearing me out! being back home is definitely a bit lonely as people have all gone their separate ways and are doing their own thing, but i am excited! less than 8 weeks!
