Good Morning
Pat - that is good news. I have tried and tried to vote. But to no avail at all. As I stated; that sign in page finally agreed to my last name and my gneder. Everytime I attempt to sign in - it says I need a new password. Please keep sharing about the resutls. All I can do is cross my fingers. But I will add my toes.

Hi Linda, sorry for not much chatter. I just needed to get some new gossip. Still working on it. Been on FB and have seen some pictures of Japan and photos OK by the Navy of the base. The photos wer taken by a shipmate of my son's. It is ncie to see what the boys have been up too. Basicly - cleaning. But he did get a beautiful picture of a dolphin jumping just off shore. And he stated that on most of their trips - they will find dolphons jumping in the waves in front and along side the ship. My son was able to get one photo of a dolphin swimming along side the ship. The hope is to see and photograph a whale. Let you know if that happens.

Need to start crank duty. Funny our sailors only have 90 days of it and WE all are still on Crank Duty ! Havea good day.

Linda, Everyone is busy voting, praying, and checking that we don't slip down in the ranks. (Don't look now but we may win this puppy!)

CALLING ALL POTLUCK COOKERS! We have a great opportunity to cook for some of our sailors in the St. Louis area during Navy Week. Contact Michele or me ASAP to be included in this. Also, still looking to see who can meet and which days of Navy Week. Don't want to miss any of you or miss giving you a chance to show your Navy Pride and love :)

Hi all
And welcome new Moms :)

Funny I have not seen any message about this site being active. Must be a gremlin in the system again. OH well it is fun reading everyone's message and getting caught up .

Sharing something - a US Navy Corpsman has been killed in Afgan. on 8 - 26.
Prayers were asked for the family. I always light a candle with a prayer. I am shaing my words that came to me . Please add this young man's family in yours;

Candle, I ask you to burn so bright,
To shed your loving Light.

Light to hearts that are deep in sorrow,
Let them know there is a tomorrow.

May they find comfort in your warm glow,
Allowing only Joyous memories of there Son to grow.

Bless it be.

METRO EAST FAMILIES:
Hey all--the Navy Week items are posted! Go to metromix.com, click on St Louis, and search for Navy Week. Hope to see a lot of you there at different events. As soon as I know the weather, I'll try and pick out an easily found shirt or hat! If you have my phone number, give me a ringy-dingy. Hope to be at Union Station on Friday night. Our food management company has already pulled 3 audits in only 8 days--I'm pooped and ready to party!
HUGS
