TheRightThing, I'm not Carol but here's my 2 cents worth! When either my husband and I or our sailor fly we use US Airways. Ohare to Charlotte, NC and then to Charleston.

caraols kitchen: What is the best airline to fly to Charleston from Chicago? O'Hare or Midway? Our son is just classing up as an ET. Do you fly direct...into Charleston...or another city?

Hi all, Thanks again T-Lynn
Did you all notice from the link ILNavyMom2010 gave us you can also order pictures of the event there is a tab at the top of the page. I just thought it was so cool and todays paper said it has not been done since 1917 (?) I read that at the docs this morning I am pretty certain that is the date (brain fog) LOL

Funny T-Lynn my son has been texting or calling almost every night before bed too. He is in Main at a shipyard and told me last night since they have no "chow room" they were given food allowence and living off McDonalds BUT they decided to start a cook out every night for all the guys my son said it is a blast good food and I could tell his spirit was much higher than last week. He will be there 2 months I wonder how long the cook outs will last, he was so sick of fast food.

Rainy day here good for napping and a good book.
Take care Paula2

Good Morning
Thanks ILNavy Mom for the link. Awesome :)
Keep sharing MissMy Sailor - it's ok to be emotional, say it like it is - just share :)
Raining here - still. Anyone have sunshine ?
Heard from my sailor this morning - his bedtime. Funny he calls for me to still tuck him in :) He is doing ok, just tired. Finishing details for another inspection and then hoping to go on a weekend sight seeing tour. But it started my day off nice :)
Wish the same for all of you - a good start to your day.

Hi all,
Thanks for all the well wishes. I have to say it has been rough but I am lucky that it did not reach my lymph nodes. I just did not realize how sensative my feelings were until my husband mentioned it and said hey the guy is kidding around..... I just miss my son so much and wish he was here in a way but then maybe not he is so happy where he is. Thanks for the well wishes it makes me feel good to know people are thinking of me. Hugs Paula

Good Morning :)
Hey all - its' full moon. That gets all of us full of energy to go out and howl.
Anyone want to join me tonight ?- I'll be howling :)

MissMy Sailor - sorry to learn that you are dealing with Cancer. Have no idea what emotions - pains - that you have to face. But share with us - we all have big ears and bigger hearts :) And prmoise Navy Dad Mark is a true gentleman. He likes to tease - flirt ( gotcha NDM ), but both he and Navy Dad Jim are true gentelman. So say what you feel and never stop sharing. :)
Need to get a bad storm about to hit again. Hugs all Tlynn
