Hello- Anyone in the group near Elgin, IL? I am a newbie and am not sure who this site is setup. Thanking you for your help.
Laura- I had a comment from you, but now I can't find it. Anyway, I saw the picture. Where did you order from?
I don't know if they'll do something like that or not, since he'll basically be adding an entire extra flight to his itinerary, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to ask. Of course, can't do anything at all until he gets his orders and finds out which airline they've booked through. From what I understand, when he gets his hard copy orders, he's supposed to call the airline and tell them he needs to reroute his ticket, them pay the difference. I'm just hoping it's not too awful much.
Had a great time yesterday ladies, hope we can do it again soon x
Tracy--can he do anything with his paper orders to "encourage" the airline to change the ticket at no charge? btw, I've been by the Bush during a boat tour.
OK Illinois moms, I need a little feedback. My son is in Pensacola right now, just graduated A school on Friday. He was supposed to have got his orders and came home for 2 weeks, but is on hold due to the shutdown. He has been told he's going to Norfolk to USS George H W Bush when this is over. I understand that he will need to pay the difference in ticket price to reroute his ticket through St. Louis, Indy, or wherever so that he can go to VA from home. My question is: Does anyone have experience as to how much approximately it will cost him? Or do they use one specific airline that we can call to get an estimated cost?
Ladies in the Central IL area: I just learned that on Tuesday, October 22 the Morton High School Marching Band will be presenting a special community performance of their 2013 show, "The Road to Home". It will be following their final Tuesday night rehearsal, at 8:30p at Carper Field. The band's show is dedicated to the United States military men and women, past and present for their sacrifices, dedication, and service to our country. The performance is free and open to the public. Between being a former marching band member and now with my son in boot camp, I can't think of anywhere else I would rather be! Wanted to let you all know in case you might be interested!
Are there any moms in this group who have a dep leaving for BC in the beginning of December. Was hoping to catch up with a couple other moms at the same stage of the process as we are. Thankyou, Ladies:))
Wanted to get to the luncheon today in bloomington but had to work :( ... Hope to catch up with all of you next time. I hope your weekend is blessed:))
As always I had fun today at lunch. Gotta say what a great group of gals we have here. Alex even enjoyed talking with Meagan. He wore himself out. LOL Glad to have met one newbie and chat with veteran moms. Thanks Sanmor. Have a great weekend.
