OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My sons GF heard from him today! Less than two weeks. He was awarded a phone call for a job well done. She said he is doing great and his PIR has move up a week. Can't wait until April 2. It won't come fast enough!

Becky--I've got some paperwork to catch up on. Don't let me forget to look up some Moms closer to you. btw--I used to work at Good Samaritan Hospital and later at Fields Animal Hospital. We joked that our sailor was going to be born at the vet's office--as it turned out, I took leave just two days before he was born.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers for my son. He was weak but better when we took him to bc. Unfortuanately his dad was very sick to and from. And then there was to almost flat tire we had to air up. I thought about calling the Navy and telling them that it really wasn't a conveniant time to go to bc! lol
