OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sue--here's what I"m wondering about for a state wide meet and greet again. Sept 6-12 is Navy Week in St. Louis, with an air show. That is one idea. Secondly, I'm ready to think soon about a Metro_East, Southwestern Illinois meeting in a couple of months. I'm looking for a place for something simple--maybe just pizza place. So, here's a shout out to all SW IL and METRO EAST families!

Ginger, I hope you have time to go to Patriot's Point, Hyman's Seafood restaurant or even East Bay Deli. Keep your cold weather coat for a walk on the beach. Cannot wait to hear back from you.

Ginger--if you are driving, contact me for the best way around US 40 and the rockslide. We drive through Atlanta to bypass the Ashville, NC route. Hope you have time to go to Hyman's Seafood! Just asked hubby if he thought they could deliver for dinner--lol!
