FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Both sons called this morning from Japan- 9 am my time and 11 pm their time. Both are tired, but happy to be together for the holdiays. It will be a quiet Christmas here. Wishing all a wonderful time Hugs TLynn

Oldest son's plane finally took off! He will arrive in Japan 5 or 6 AM our time Meet up with his brother. They will have a good time :) Hugs to all TLynn

So happy for you Linda. Collect all the hugs you can. My oldest is stuck in the airport now. He is suppose to be in flight now to Japan to be with his brother. That is where Alex is stationed. But teh 777 had problems Now another 777 should arrive from London - it will be cleaned up - add anew crew and off to Japan Maybe leave by 4 PM. Oldest is trying to reach his brother in Japan. Hi and Welcome :
Only thing I can suggest - get all things in order. ( billings - and billings, power of attorney for you needs - a US passport, going through you stuff to know what to keep or pack away, etc ) My son took amonth getting all his together. Glad you are going in the summer, my son went in wintoer and had a cold the entire time! Hi Sheila - Hope you get a chance to go to S. D. I have heard several Momshere have gone to visit and it was a great time for them.. Take care. TLynn
