OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Heather, our great Bloomington moms had already contacted the media. You may not have noticed a young lady there with a notebook talking with the best coordinators of a luncheon ever. She left early so did not see the packing, but did get information on that too.

Molly--did you get the information about sending cards to our wounded? There is also a request for a young woman who lost her Marine fiance as he was helping someone else with their car. Please remember her as well.

Molly, Go to "Molly's Adopt A Sailor Project" group. At the top of the page under "Discussion Forums" click on MAS Special Hugs. There are several sailors and soldiers that could use a little encouragement. Thank you, Molly, for inquiring about how to help these heroes!!! Pat

I've started repacking the boxes I brought home to mail, so I can fill out the customs forms. Oh, my, you ladies and hubbies are giving me goosebumps by all that you thought of! What a blessing to have hugged you and to get to know you in person. (PS--I'm a good packer and have found room to sneak in a couple extra goodies)
Remember to start mailing Oct 24th!

Have a wonderful time together! Our sailor is home for the weekend to go to the Navy Ball with us. Pictures after Saturday! His little girls are here cooking and making craft projects--messes but we don't care. My dad is out at the VA Hospital in Iowa City with a broken hip, so life is crazy at the moment.
