Ok - so I go through kleenex. If you remember I actually brought a box of kleenex for our first Meet and Greet at Olive Garden. And they came in handy, because someone - gee that was Jeannie - asked a question of :"What was the moment you knew your son/daughter had really enlisted?" Then came more sharings and we even had table around us crying ! I still think we shoudl invest in kleenex. WE would make ourselves rich. And Jeannie - I am trying to visualize here ' Full Moon and you becoming a monster." Nope - but angry mother in an apron swining a wooden rolling pin - ok. Better add a hat that says - US Navy Mom! that I see. Fellow Navy Moms / Dad /Wives - let me share something - if you have a chance to go to this meet and greet - do. It fills an empty hole that we all carry. No one see it or even really understands. Except anoher Navy Mom / Dad / Wife . I promise after that meet and greet - you will have memories - stronger friendships and you will know a means of dealing with that empty hole. These Navy Moms sties- they are like the glue . They help us create a bond. But here are only words and shared feelings and at times photos. But the Meet and Greet is the patch. It's where you actaully see that all this sharing is real. Hope you all can attend. Need to go to bed ,but have to that kleenex box first! Sweet dreams all. Tlynn

Everyone - Karen C just sent infomration about a Jury Duty Scam. This is for real. Persons are called and told a arrest warrent has been made becasue you missed jury duty. But if you give that person calling your SS# number and other personal infomraiton they can help you out. It is a SCAM. Check it out on the snopes.com and the FBI website. Thanks Karen - TLynn

Hi Sherry and Welcome.
I cried too. Just boo whooed like a baby. My hubby had to take pictures as our son was sworn in at MEPS. Graduated BC 2-15-08 I had an Army Sgt. standing next to me and he was so kind and told me it was perfectly alright to cry. But I know he had to go and laugh later. Those are tears of love and we all cry here but laugh and share too. So welcome and jump into the conversations and start sharing! WE Moms love shariung about our sailors. TLynn

Andrea - has any of your doctors suggested that you get therapy from a Reflexologist? These reflexologist hit the pressure points in the bottom of your feet. It's not a cure, but it could maybe stimulate the nerves to fire up . This type of foot pressure has been around in Ancient Eygpt. Just wondering. Congrats on the move and blessings on you home for it is complete now - your daughter is home. TLynn

Good Morning :)
I had a wonderful 2 hour conversation with Alex! He called last night. He is so confident and so proud being a sailor. He also shared that he took the test for promotionto E5 on September 10. He will know sometime in December if he passed. Also, finally - hours on the ship have slowed down and he was able to attend a day tour! He saw a castle and the home of a Samuri Warrior. The home was built in the 1700. And there is a possibility he can attend another tour this coming weekend. ALex also stated that if things work out the way he likes - he will re-enlist. I said ok - he just better leave so I can see him. All have a good day. I have been reading all the excitement and joy lately on this page. Thanks for sharing. take care TLynn

Make sure you have your camera and a BOX of kleenex. Those small kleenex pocket packages - not enough. Wishing you an early Happy Birthday . And what a nice present - hugs from your son/sailor :) when the event is over - please share. TLynn
