I just talked to my son--he wants to have dinner tomorrow with the Navy Moms! So I called my husband and asked if he'd leave work early and come with me--sure, he said. Does anyone else have a sailor who could come or a husband that wants to come? We could give them their own area if they don't want to be with a bunch of moms!

Welcome, JoAnna! You'll know so much more than most moms by the time your son gets to BC!

Welcome Maggie, Check out the get together in Galena on March 21. A bit of a drive but looks like a really fun day. Four of us in the western suburbs are going. We have never met face to face so it should be great. Pat

Nuts4sons, Where did you live in Michigan?. Both my husband and I were born and raised around Grand Rapids!! Pat

I thought this was cute just had to share..............we are the best

Jeff Foxworthy on Illinois :

If your local Dairy Queen is closed from November through March, you might live
in Illinois .
If someone in a store offers you assistance & they don't work there,
you might live in Illinois .
If your dad's suntan stops at a line curving around the middle of his
forehead, you might live in Illinois .
If you have ever worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you might live in
Illinois .
If your town has an equal number of bars and churches, you might live in
Illinois .
If you have had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a
wrong number, you might live in Illinois .

Thanks to info from another mom--Post a valentine to your sailor at http://messages.stripes.osd.mil/ for free. I just did the on-line one as the other choices are European, Pacific, and Middle East editions of the newspaper.
