5.5 Days is just not enough time with your sailor when you have to share him with so many family members! It just went way too fast!!
Don't get me wrong, I am very thankful that I have been blessed to get him every year...birthday and Christmas, although celebrated at odd times, and most Thanksgivings!!

South of Indy...North of Columbus...approximately where I-65 and 31 meet. Not hard to find.

We just started getting some little flakes at 10:45pm tonight, here in Avon! It's definitely a night for sleeping with the electric blankie turned up a notch!

BTW, the Westies discussed a shopping experience to Edinburgh's outlet stores... anyone else interested? We also thought it might be fun to combine the shopping with a "Rapunzel Party" (y'know... where you lock yourself in the tower and let your hair down)! I know this might not be the fun that husbands would appreciate, so comments or suggestions are appreciated before I start setting this thing in motion. Hugs and Happy 2010! k.

Hi, Amendi, and welcome! I left a message for you on your personal page.

Navy 08, it's not as bad as that... we can email back and forth. Yesterday was his birthday and I sent him a "Happy Birthday" song via email (unfortunately, I can't send his favorite strawberry cake over the internet)! Give that sailor of yours some extra hugs for me, ok?! k.

I tell my kids that when I embarass them now, it's payback for the times they came out of the restaurant restroom and yelled to me, "Mommy! I made a poo!"

Thanks, Donnita. I really count on the folks here to get me through these patrols. I know that you're just "twitchy" with anticipation for these 4 weeks to go by! How long will you get to have him home? If it doesn't fall on a regular Westies dinner night, then we'll just have to have a special one, won't we?!

We look forward to meeting Dawn... ANOTHER Dawn! We'll have to sit her next to Zack's mom! Hugs, k.

He's on the boomer sub ALABAMA. So, when he deploys, no one knows where they go. The just disappear into the Pacific ocean, then come back three months later!

I copied it from Facebook. You can just right-click on it, then click 'Save picture as...' and save it to your hard disk. Then you can use the picture link (the little camera icon) to post it here.

Do you mean the supposed '6-mos' deployment turned into eight months?! With a new baby to see? That's rotten...

He left yesterday, for a long one. Sing it, Elvis!

Hey, Charlotte, you didn't miss the Westies. It's NEXT Monday night, the 14th. So, tell the boss you have an important "meeting" you have to be at! Glad to hear Daughter is learning the 'system' and is in good spirits (first call from my son in BC was 20 minutes of trauma)! Hugs, k.
