Kaye, did you look at the pix of the tiara? Not sure that I would want to wear the one pictured.

Ha! I just found a webpage (click here) that lists an inventory of the official USN uniforms pieces. Did you know there's a "tiara" for females' dinner formal dress?! k.

The "dress white" uniform is turning into "dress khaki" for officers. The enlisted personnel's dress uniforms are being modified, but will remain basicall the present white or navy (summer or winter). Here's a link to a Navy News article. Hugs! k.

I uploaded my Warsaw pix just now, so hopefully they'll be approved soon and posted to my page. Keep checking!

EEK! I just realized I forgot to mention our 'other' new folks at the dinner: Mike & Jan. So sorry... it was lovely meeting ya'll too! Hugs, k.

Jim, the weather was lovely in South Bend on Sunday. It was cool, but the sun was out and we enjoyed the strolling! OK... I got the little flag sets at http://www.united-states-flag.com/. Look under "Small Flags," then "Stick Flags." I got 4x6-inch flags. The Navy ones were $1.60 each and the US ones were .40 each (be sure to order the 'best quality' ones to match the Navy flags). The 2-hole bases were 1.60 each also.

THANKS TO JIM & BEVERLY FOR A GREAT TIME!!! Jim, that was a fast four hours that passed! We got out of there at 8:00pm. The cherry on the sundae was the Longhorns beat Colorado 38-14! Hook 'Em!

It was so nice to meet our "new folk," Jeff & Tina, Betty & David, Lauren & Becky. My hubby, Andrew, enjoyed himself... even our teenager, Colleen, had a fun time! Big hugs especially to Rick, who was so patient with her love of conversation. And we just keep seeing "less and less" of Maggie, who arrived in her skinny jeans!

We enjoyed seeing the Notre Dame campus today... got the photo of 'Touchdown Jesus' for the Sailor... plus a nice wool cap from the bookstore. I can now say that I've seen more than Indianapolis!

Donnita, of course we missed you and Chuck... and of course, your family is in our prayers. Hope we get to see you in Avon on the 19th. Hugs to you, k.
