OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Welcome aboard, Ms. Fish! We're glad to have another crew member!

Jim, do you realize what happens on Oct 13? I propose that the dinner in Warsaw not only be a "get-together," but a celebration of NAVY DAY! I have table decorations I'm happy to bring. Perhaps there are other suggestions folks can make. I just wanted to give a 'heads up' and see what you think. Hugs! k.

My Nuke talked about being a VET until he had to pull a calf 10 years ago. Decided Medical of any sort was not for him. Sept must be a good month for B-days...Nephew, Sister, 2 B-inlaw, my Nuke (22 on the 22nd), M-inlaw, and Brother. Interesting what an Optician Tech gets to do!!

No, Jim. You say, "Texas. Very NOT cool!" Although the main heat should start tapering off now and highs should come down into the low 90s!

Anne's Mom, I'm a VERY native Texan and the state is filled with my friends and family. If Anne needs anything (like home-cooking or a place to spend a holiday), I'd be happy to share. Hope we get to meet soon! Hugs, k.

Thanks Kaye...and I think he is in the process of changing his mind about wanting out of the Navy...one of the MM1's on his sub, just re-upped...he had been looking for a job outside and did not find anything that would support his family. It was an eye opener for him!
looking fwd to next months dinner! I will be celebrating his birthday!
