Son is back in port! His leave chit is signed and he'll be dismissed at 4:00pm on March 20! But he'll probably go to Texas for a week before coming here. I won't fuss about it, but I reserve the right to push my lip out until he gets here... Hugs! k.

A note for new moms: look in the Event Calendar (in the right-hand column) at March 14, as we're having a get-together that day in Indianapolis. All the details are there... hope you can make it! k.

Men are definitely welcomed! Even if they're husbands... (ha!) k.

Hi, Chrissy... I too discovered Lori has vanished (no page, no posts). But, I volunteered to take over the planning of a get-together... if you'd like, I'D WELCOME HELP FROM ANYONE!

It's going to be in March... and I think an outing to the USS Indianapolis memorial (on the canal walk in Indy), a visit to the Military Museum nearby, and then lunch are on the agenda. I'M HAPPY TO HEAR OTHER IDEAS.

Stay tuned to this discussion group... I'll send a message to everyone when the details are nailed in place. Hugs, k.

Heather, I cried until I was thirsty! Good things tissues are cheap, and we other moms have cases of 'em in the closet if you need more! Hugs, k

p.s.: it's not the swollen eyes that bother me as much as the runny nose ;-)

TO EVERYONE AT INDIANA MOMS:

A while back, Lori Patterson said she'd organize a Meet N'Greet for us, but as far as I can tell, she's no longer on this site (no page, no posts, etc.)

Does anyone know if this is true? If so, do we still want to get together some time in February? Later? A suggestion had been made to visit the museum for the USS INDIANA (in Indy), then have lunch nearby.

I'd be willing to organize this, or take other suggestions. I think we're starting from square one... speak up or it'll be pedicures and shopping! ;-) Hugs, k.

Dawn, you can sit with us hens ANYTIME... but, a PIR is once in a lifetime!! You don't know how "proud" feels until they roll up that door and the sailors start marching in. Take tissues, take pictures, and take all our best wishes! k.

I'd say that ya'll are nuts, but I'd have to come out of the basement. And that's not happening until spring (...'let it snow,' sheesh!) ;-) k.

That's it! I'm going back to Texas...

Is this a great site or what?! It's all about the "big dogs" showing us little puppies how to hunt. Thanks, Dawn!
