Hello ladies; I'm new to the group! My name is Jaymee and my bf is currently in BC at GL...
To Dakota's Mom: prior to him leaving, he chose to give the majority of his clothes to the Salvation Army b/c he felt he would outgrow them during this time .His parents had joked that they would turn his room into an office but yes, it's still his bedroom for whenever he wants comes back to visit. It's heavy at times b/c you see their belongs and wish you could attach their physical being along with the memories you hold; but it does get easier with time. When he leaves for FL (A-school) in a few weeks, all he wants is his 2-3 outfits he held on to and his xbox haha
Bah, ha, ha, ha! Carol, I'm so happy to find out I'm not the only one with "Brain Glitch Syndrome!"
Kaye--can't believe I said my son, when I meant my nephew. Guess it's on the brain. However, the nephew did live a lot of summers with us when he could as a youngster. This will be the first time in years it's been a happy reunion, and not for a funeral.
Carol, we certainly understand the importance of seeing a son after SIX YEARS?!!! In fact, if we found out that you'd skipped seeing him to be with us, we'd have to smack you in the head!!! Give him big hugs from all of us and promise you'll come over here the next first chance you get! k.
Had hoped to join some of you for dinner in July after my high school reunion. However, now my civilian jazz guitarist son is leaving the Far East and will be home in IN too the following week, so we will have to come back to IL for a week or so, and then go back to see him. It's been 6 years since we've been together, so that is important to us.
6-16-2012 My Daughter had a beautiful wedding!! I was so Happy that my son was able to come home from GL to celebrate with us ,It was a Joy to have him for awhile:
