I have heard thru the grapevine that we get 24 hours and he can only go 75 miles/ so we will have to stay in chicago. Is your son deployed or in a port.Where is the USS Enterprise stationed?
Comment by Tracie (Jacob's mom) on January 29, 2012 at 4:26pm

He is currently on the USS Enterprise... I would love to tell you what he does but I have no idea at this point.  When you joined he was going to be a linguist... but after a couple month of the schooling he was having medical issues so he had to change is job.  So the only thing they had available at the time was for him to be a cook, an undesignated airman or an undesignated seaman..  he chose airman.  So he went to Florida for training and now he is on the Enterprise.  They are currently doing training on the ship so I have not spoken to him for several weeks.  He has sent a couple emails however they were 2 lines long so not to much info and he has yet to answer any question I asked him.

Will you have time with your son over the weekend after he graduates or will he have to leave right away?
