Agh! finally got used to my daughter being in the Navy and settled into A school. Now I get to ship my son off to Army boot camp tomorrow. I am an Airforce brat and all the men in my family (and my husband's  family) have served in one branch or another but it doesn't make it any easier to send both my kids off to the military world. Not sure what to do with myself next week...I still have a 3 year old great nephew who lives with us and a 7 month old puppy but things will be much quieter here from now on.

Thanks Marine Navy Mom, I have no idea how all this works, I watched the videos about Boot camp and what to send and not send to my daughter, and I had another account my daughter and I set up before she left and we made each other friends, but it keeps telling me my e-mail didn't exist so I made a new account. I'm frustrated so far with the website, but I will give it a chance. Thanks for helping with the info. It's nice to talk to someone who knows what it like when your child is in boot camp.

Hi, I am new to Navy moms. My daughter left 1 week ago and I just got the box. I really miss her. I haven't got her address yet. Anybody know how long that takes?

Welcome gstutzman, r11210, wvik and any other new members to the Indiana group!   If you are close enough to Avon...check out the calendar for the monthly social and dinner at one of the restuarants along the hwy in Avon on the 3rd Monday.  It is a great time to ask questions, meet others, and share stories.

Thoughts out to our other military families who lost their boys in Afghanistan this weekend.  One of the moms on another N4M group I am in is the mother of one in Army, one in Navy, one in Guard and one in AirForce. One of her boys was in the vehicle just ahead of the one that got blown up.  The devastation that he feels along with these parents we can not imagine.  So as you are heading out to church this morning, keep them in your prayers.
