NavyDadJim, I am glad that you were able to spend time with your daughter on the weekends! I wish we could spend some time with Katie before she left. We will get to spend time the day of graduation, then go to the airport the next day. I miss her so much! It might be easier whe we can talk on the phone more than a few mins. and more often.

I was afraid that my daughter might get delayed also. She was LLD for a week and a half and they told her that she may be delayed because of bad shin splints. Well she hasn't graduated yet, so it could still happen. Her PIR is in 2 weeks.

My most vivid political/social memories of the 60's are of Vietnam and everything that went along with it. I was 7 when my favorite uncle left for Nam. He was there for the Tet offensive.

The Indy supper is always on the third Monday night of the month...so this month it would be the 19th.
The northern Indiana dinner is on the 24th.
Check the calendar on the lower right of this screen...just click on the date(s)!

I wish that I could come and meet you all, but my daughters graduation from BC is April 16th. It sounds like that is when you are going to meet. Is this correct?

Avon's Papa Joe's pizza is good... but, of course, what would a Texan know about pizza? Which brings me to say, Pat, don't EVEN get me started on the chili here!!! (or whatever that "stuff" is they serve at Skyline) ;-)

Who's JFK?

Never had Pizza King...grew up in Cincinnati...haven't found much except one pizza house in Chicago to compare to my hometown LaRosa's pizza...then of course there is Skyline Chili...Izzy's Reubens...you all are making me want to make another trip to Cincy. But I will have to agree with NDJ that to turn down pizza...
Bobe's down here does a pretty nice job with pizza.

I have never been to pizza king but I have heard people rave about the pizza king in Terre Haute. Being from Buffalo, NY, I am curious because, (now please, please don't anybody be offended), we haven't eaten any pizza so far in Indiana that is worth going out for (maybe we just haven't found the rigth place yet). When we want pizza, I make it at home (including my own crust).

My son is on the Ike. So far, no new info about the incident. I know my son is safe, he is with a Hornet Squadron (and he doesn't fly, he fixes) and has nothing to do with the Hawkeyes, but my heart is breaking for the missing sailor and his family. I continue to pray and ask you all to do the same. Communications are still down "until further notice" so we content ourselves with writing letters and praying for our sailors.

I am looking forward to meeting you all in a couple of weeks! And Kay S., I remember the 70's too! (I even remember the 60's! OUCH! Am I older than all the rest of you?)
