Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

His comps are a "comprehensive exam" that covers everything he learned from day one of nuclear power school - the final exam so to speak.  From what I've learned on the nuke site the exam is written by an outside agency that sponsors the nuclear program - not the actual navy instructors, thus it can be info that they think you should have learned but may have not been covered by the instructors!

Hi all - well my son and 29 others didn't pass comps on Tuesday :(  They will "re-comp" on Wednesday next week.  Son says it's "One & Done" so I ask for everyone to please say a prayer for all of them!

Welcom MrsZ...we live in Upland and our Grandson has been in the Navy 1year..with his PIR on the 22nd of Dec. last year...it has been quite a ride but this group has helped out quite a bit...Look forward to meeting you...Happy Holidays...

Hi everyone...so sorry I haven't been on to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving Holiday and all the wonderful things that are happening with your son's and daughters...I feel very blessed that we had our Grandson along with 2 of his shipmates join us for Thanksgiving...he is still on hold for his 2 school Sonar Tech until March...but currently training with the EOD guys..can't wait to here more about what is going on with each of you...Take care and hope to see some of you at the Pot Luck....

Thanks for the continued prayers for my SIL....Good News! She might be released from the hospital this Friday.....

If you have a dog you can probably relate at some point in time!
