Welcome MrsZ!!!!! I'm also in Rancho Cucamonga!!! Is your daughter flying out of San Diego or LAX? We're all very proud of her too!!! I know you will miss her but she will change so much while in Boot Camp; she will get strong and so will you!!! My son graduated on June 7th and is now in submarine school in Groton, CT. Do everything you can to attend PIR, it is awesome! Also, the Boot Camp for moms site here is very helpful as well. Look forward to meeting you!
Dropped my daughter off at the office last night. She should be on the plane headed to Great Lakes for Boot Camp by this afternoon. So proud of her, but miss her already.
I totally agree! Thank you NAVY MOM'S for being so supportive, understanding....just for being out there! I thank God for ALL of you and your Sailors! Hooyah!
B'sNukeMom, I couldn't have said that better myself! I too am very grateful for all the friends I've met here and on the other sites; you all have helped me tremendously get with boot camp and beyond. A Very Happy Thanksgiving wish to you all!
Juliebelle - just got a text from my son - they got out of school early today - his car arrives (yay!) and then they are going to contact the apartment complex and get the process going! It seems quite a few of the guys live in that same complex. The nicest part is how close it is to their school/work. I hope they can get this done this weekend. They had their Reactor Principle final yesterday - one more final next week - MTMO and then comps on 12/10. Almost done!
To everyone I would like to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! I know I will be busy tomorrow (like most of you!) and probably won't be able to get on here....I am thankful for so much this year, but one of the things I am especially thankful for is all my new N4M friends. You have all been so very supportive and have made this journey easier for me. I thank you for being there and I look forward to our continued friendship.....
Wow B'sNukeMom - You have a lot to do. Good for you. Congratulations to your son. It will all work out! Prayers continue for you and yours.
mrsb - your Christmas Open House sounds wonderful! I wish we could make it but we have another event that same day. Thanks for the invite.
