Hope everyone is doing well today - what beautiful weather we are having!

For Veterans Day flag placing, there are over 100,000 flags that will be placed on the grave markers and they are expecting close to 1,000 volunteers.

Please enter the cemetery from the side gate off Village Drive West. Attached is a map depicting the preferred entrance along with the parking/meeting locations.  Once you enter the cemetery from the Village West Drive gate, you will be directed to the parking area.  Please allow enough time for parking and follow the directions given to insure we create the least amount of impact to the normal day to day operations.

Don't forget, ceremony begins promptly at 8 am so please allow enough travel time to get there.

Fathomom - he did well enough to move on to Regionals on 11/16.  Last year they were in Oregon but this year they are held in California (they switch back & forth each year).  Makes it a little easier for us (although hubby & I did go to Oregon last year to watch - it was cold!)

cbcmom - it was truly an awesome day to see so many helpers. What a great way to make a difference. For Veterans Day flag posting @ Riverside National Cemetery do you know exactly where the Veterans Amphitheater is. I can't find it on their map. I plan to be there on Saturday to help. Bringing a screwdriver to dig the hole and gardening gloves.

B'snukemom - love that pic! How did cross country boy do?Our Sailor was cross country all four years of high school. His knees wouldn't let him run as well in college. His knees have improved with just some time off.

That's awesome the # of care packages that BSM packed up!  Hubby & I didn't make it by until the very end (college boy had League Championships for cross country that morning) but we did get to see all the boxes - what a wonderful sight!  There's going to be a lot of happy Sailor's/Soldiers :)
