For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

This will be my 3rd time helping with placing flags at the Riverside National Cemetery. They do this twice a year during Memorial Day and Veteran's Day.
On Saturday, November 9th, they will be placing over 100,000 flags at the grave markers. It is from 8:00am - 10:00am. Meet at the Veterans Amphitheater for a short ceremony and to give directions before placing the flags. On Tuesday, Nov 12th at 1:00pm, they will need help removing the flags.

Janet - we had a lot of fun at Shamrock's yesterday - both the live auction and the silent auction were a huge success! My hubby got a beautiful framed, autographed J.S. Gugierre hockey jersey (that he already hung up on the wall when we got home!).
Glad your even went well too! I agree - LOVE the supprt from the communities :-}

B'snukemom ... oh my love it, I want to post it on FB if I can figure it out...lol. So glad to see you HOME BSM's did great at Sam's and Shamrocks.... way to go. YVBSM's had our first event Sat and we did great as well. I just love to see how our communities are so supportive of our troops.
