Hi All - Happy New Year!  Hope everyone is doing well.....our sailor is settling in in Goose Creek - just waiting to find out when his classes start.....It's been nice being able to talk/text with him!

Hi all - Yes WE HAVE A SAILOR!  PIR was amazing and we had a great time in Chicago.  Got a little snow but not too bad - it was wonderful (cold, but wonderful!).  We had Sailor home with us for a few days and he just flew out this morning for Charleston.  He's excited to start the next stage of his Navy life and we are excited for him :)

Hi Julie - glad to hear things are well with your boys and you will get Christmas break with your Navy son!  We just got our 1st "real" phone call today and found out that our son will have leave right after PIR on 12/21 and has to report to Goose Creek on 12/29!  He sounded great and things are going well at boot camp!  So happy!

Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Darsete- he did really well.  Ran a PR (personal record) for the 8k - 27:57.  He was so happy as his goal was to be sub 28:00....It was a great ending to his first college XC season!  Then he got up on Sunday and ran the 5k at the Mission Inn run - finished 10th overall.....Oh to be 18 again and have that kind of energy!

Just stopped by to say Hi to all and Happy Veteran's Day!  We got home from Oregon yesterday - boy was it cold!  Hubby says it's preparation for PIR in December.....I do believe I might freeze to death LOL.

Hi Darsete and other Moms....we live in Upland so I guess technically we are not in the Inland Empire...but we do pay San Bernardino taxes (so does that count)...Grandson is in BootCamp Graduation on the 21st of Dec....and Husband is retired Navy....
