Good morning everyone, I havent been on in a few. Sorry I missed the lunch on Saturday. I was unable to attend because my good friends son was K.I.A on Thursday in Afghanistan, and needed to be there for her.If I could ask for you to say a prayer or a light a candle for her and her family through this difficult time. Thank you... I will be coming to the next one though. Have a nice day everyone.

I'm so sorry, but I won't be able to make it to Saturday's get together either.  I have to pick up my youngest son at LAX as he returns from Japan at 11:30am.  I really had a great time when we met in July and will plan to be at the September event.

Thanks!

Good Monday Morning All!  I am hoping to still be there on Saturday.  The youngest moves into the dorms on Sunday and I am hoping that I have everything finalized this week (I think we got most of it taken care of this past weekend - but it seems like for every 2 things I cross off the "To-do" list one more new thing gets added!).

TwoForTheNavy - sorry you won't be there - glad your son's elbow is ok now, too bad about the chicken pox though!  Glad he is in good spirits!

Not going to be able to make Aug. 18 get together...going out of town for the weekend...I will be there for the next one..enjoyed meeting everyone at July get together...last letter dated Aug 2 from my son, he was quarantined for an outbreak of chicken pox in RCU just before expecting to be declared FFD from elbow injury! So still no PIR date! But he was in good spirits.

Hi nice to meet everyone yesterday. Got a call from my son he sounds good, still in Ship 4 but elbow only badly bruised physical therapy helping. He has been able to run and do core work. Still not sure how much longer in Ship 4.

Hi all - I had a great time yesterday too!  It was wonderful meeting each of you and putting a face to the name.  Darsete - I have your table centerpiece and will bring it to the next gathering.  I thought it was on the 18th, not the 22nd though.  I'm also going to talk to my son (when he returns from his camping trip) about your offer of going to the range - I will let you know what he says.
