navymom3,

Marybeth posted last month that this forum had limited posts because most have migrated to FB.  I was just trying to find the page...if there is one.

We're in Starke, so Jax is the closest I've found to us.  You are right that you are close by in Middleburg.  I'm hoping to join in any activities that are local.  I'm all about supporting our Navy kids. :-)

My future sailer is currently still at home.  He's a Depper for now.  He doesn't ship out until July, after graduation.  He's going AECS, as he's all about electronics as such.  My oldest son is currently getting ready to enlist as well.  He'll leave sooner, as he's 23.  He's going Culinary for Food, Restuarant, and Lodging, as he's all about cooking.  He wants his own restaurant some day so this is great training and experience for him.

Look forward to getting to know everyone better.  If we have a meet and greet, I'll be there.  My husband is retired AF but the Navy is totally different...and it's certainly different to be the Mom

Milsup4life I didn't know there was a local FB page. I am on the Japan moms one and the regular navy mom one. The one is call Navy Parents. Where is your sailor at? I have one at NAS Jax and 1 in Japan. We are in Middleburg. Not to far from you.

I see that most of you are keeping contact via FB.  Can someone tell me how to find this group on FB?  I'd like to add on so I can see what's happening in my area.

I am up for a meeting Marybeth.

For me I have 2 Navy sailors. My oldest is a AT2 stationed at NAS JAX now. His first duty station was Whidbey Island Washington. He made 6 years in June.

My middle son is a CTM3 and stationed in Yokosuka Japan. He will hit the 2 year mark in January.

We are so proud of both of our sailors.

Please don't post how many days left a ship has until it returns. This is an OPSEC violation and can result in the ship getting extended. It happened during my husband's last deployment when someone thought it would be cute to post a countdown./:

Wow patty you live close. Sounds like your son will be home for xmas unless his sub goes out to sea. Let me know when you are coming up this way we are in Middleburg on the edge of orange park and doctors inlet.

My son is stationed at Mayport-he has been there a month now.  I hope to meet you all some day.   I love in Alachua which is only an hour and a half away.
