My oldest son is in Nas Jacksonville. But the area is nice. We live in Middleburg which would be to far a drive for Mayport. Of course there are some not so nice area but we just don't go there. We love the weather even though it has been a hot summer. My son has a friend that is at Mayport. He is out on his sub right now. If you son is a car guy there some car groups here.

Tina and Marybeth- I just emailed pat at newmoms@mollysadoptasailor.com to see if there is a copy of a form letter we can get so we can start getting some donations. I will let you know what I find out.

Marybeth- Found out that they don't supply us with material to make the pillow cases. So I am going to go to the Orange Park Joanns to see if I can get  donation. I will also hit my local Walmart as they have fabric also. If you know of any other places that have fabric let me know.Do I need a letterhead letter to get a donation?

If any one has any fabric to donate send me a message and I can sew it.

Grandboboo-We found housing at militarybyowner.com. You can choose the base you are at and it will show you the available places all by military personel. I also looked at hovergirl.com they are a real estate agency run by Navy wifes. We are in Middleburg which is below Jacksonville as my son is stationed at NAS. He has a friend stationed at King's bay and he says the Fernadina beach area is a nice place to live. It is close to Mayport. If he is looking at apartments there are some nice ones my son's friend told me about. If you want I will ask the name again. Just let me know.
