Hi Penny, yes my son's initial letter said his PIR was the 21st. Now I guess it's the 28th so I'll be joining you counting down the days until I get to see his face again! I love, love, love the clock!! Thanks to whoever did it!
Lynne, concerning the Christmas cards - do you recommend we ask our recruit how many are in his division and then the group of moms in that division divide them up, pick a day and send out x # of cards all addressed to our recruit and he passes them out? Also, I read somewhere on this site about being able to send gift cards. Do you know anything about that?

I see that Tricia and Jill both have their sailors in the same ship and division - YAY ... nice for the two of you. Take time to get to know each other; this is a very safe place to laugh and cry and make new friends. If you like, I even suggest sharing email addresses with each other to keep contact and share other items of interest. There are a few of us ladies on here that are in the same ship and division and we are having the time of our lives getting to know each other.

Hey Jill and smith - my son arrived there on 11/24 and is also going on to Goose Creek. Looks like while they may not be in the same division, smith and my son are both in ship 11. Jill - I see your son is in div 910 - what is their specialty to be in the 900 divisions? Just curious.

Still waiting for our very first letter - I know my son was hoping to volunteer or be chosen to be the RCPO but have no idea if that happened or not.

So glad to have both of you here and part of the future Nuke program over in Goose Creek. Jill, how nice to be having your son close to home. We are from Washington State - a VERY long way from home.
