The Ramada automatically hosts a Meet and Greet in the bar and frankly I don't know as much about it because we had ours at Anastasias, but they do have a banquet room which if you request it they will move it to. It is less smoky I understand and with young children there you can be more comfortable. At our meet and greet we did do some fun things. We had each division design a flag which we stucky into styrofoam centerpieces so everyone could kind of find each other from their divisions....that was so fun. Then we took name tags based on the head count and used the screen images on the name tags...and the Navy for Moms person's said ITS ME along with their real name and their guests had the screen picture and then just their name...that way you could match people to who they were. I kept a really good count and actually we had 167 people there which was more than I anticipated...it was so much fun...try not to miss it...it is something I will NEVER forget!!!

You are all welcome. The big question is..do I have to call the Ramada and tell them the approx head count? lol I'm goin w/ the flow! I booked the Ramada this morning. He said its called Apt C aka a suite with 1 king bed, couch, living area, and a full kitchen with dinette set. I just called 847-244-2400. They still have suites available for that weekend. They didnt have any suites w/ 2 double beds available. So depends on how many of you if this suite would work. Joan I am coming from Florida. Flying into Milwaukee thru southwest because they dont charge for baggage are just as close as o'hare and not as busy. Did any of you check out Key Cove with the indoor water park? It's like $189 a night but wow! I heard you can get a day pass for all their stuff though even if you arent staying there. That would be one great way for the kids to let loose and have some fun! wowie!

Kathy when did you book at the Ramada? I was told there were no more suites available so I booked 2 double beds, no fair! lol

I will be at the meet & greet providing we get there on time. We are driving up. I have reserved a room at the Ramada. I am told it is an 18 hour drive from where we are, however, if the weather is bad it could add to the time. I do hope I make it in time because I would truly love to meet all of you who have been helping me through this difficult time. Your support and understanding has been wonderful.

I am so, so thankful for this group! So I guess officially Div 58's PIR is 1/28? We'll have to rearrange plans but hopefully it won't change again and we can start counting down the days. Does anyone know how to do that clock thing?

Christmas will be hard for all of us - thats for sure! I decorated the tree Navy Blue yesterday. My 3 year old grandson helped by making little piles of balls clustered on the low branches. He can always bring a smile to my face!
For those who are married, how are your husbands coping?

Thanks Kathy for meet and greet, looking forward to meeting everybody. It is so hard to get into xmas spirit, especially when you have younger children and MUST find a way to continue tradition for them. I'm struggling with this.. It's hard.

Thanks, Kathy, for doing the meet and greet. Didn't know if the person doing it had to be booked into the Ramada or not but also didn't take the time to explore it either. Thanks for taking the time and I'll be there with bells on!! Already getting excited and it is yet so far away. Christmas without my boy ... sad days ahead. But we will get through it because we have each other here for support.
